Are you interested in becoming a coach within the Sporting Schools program?

All coaches must first be accredited (Level 1, Bronze or Silver) and have current TBA Registration. As a an accredited coach, you are covered by TBA Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance, which is a Sporting Schools requirement. Then go to the Sporting Schools website to register:
You need to register as an individual first, then:

Step 1: Register as a Coach.
Step 2: Seek endorsement.

Once registered, you must seek endorsement by TBA (sole coaching provider) to deliver our sport to schools.  When endorsed, you are able to deliver tenpin bowling programs to schools as part of Sporting Schools.

Registration Minimum Standards

In order to be a coach, you must have an Australian Sports Commission's Community Coaching General Principles qualification and a current Working with Children Check

You then need to become a Level 1 Coach with TBA, which is a 2-3 hour online course.  Register for the course via our website 'How to Become a Coach' here.

Lesson Plans & Support Material

Once endorsed, coaches are provided with lesson plans and support material, enabling you to deliver programs correctly, and to a consistently high level.  It is an intensive, yet basic program, designed to introduce the fundamentals of our sport, in a primary school environment.

Coach Payment

All coaches are paid for delivering Sporting Schools programs.  Payment is made per program (by TBA), with hourly rates based on your level of qualification (Level 1, Bronze or Silver).
